Building
Every set of wheels at Munro is build with a high focus and full concentration.
Custom hand build wheels are better. Maybe you’ve heard this before? But why? Time and patience is one of the keys to a perfect wheel. Machines doing this job, lack this attention and focus, a trained wheel builder has.
With the precision, right tools and the in house knowledge we give every wheel it’s own attention it needs and deserves to provide you with wheels that will accompany you on your rides for a long time.
Service

Bring in your wheels for inspection. We do a rough examination for free, from there we can dive into detail what would be the best to give your wheels the love they might need.

“A munro is defined as a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3,000 feet (914.4 m)” *
It might be a contradicting name for someone coming from the Netherlands. Jokingly I sometimes say, I was born in the wrong country.
My name is Jorrit Spoelstra. Though my passion for bikes has always been big, in 2010 I started working as a bike courier in Rotterdam which boosted that cycling fever again. 5 years later I left Rotterdam to pedal South America for 6 months. There, in the Andes, is where I discovered the power of the mountains. In its natural sense and how to battle them on your bike, up and down. The Cordillera in Argentina and Bolivia left a big stamp of who I am today, I fell in love with the mountains.
After I returned I moved to Germany where I started working in bike shops. And in 2020 together with Crow we opened up our own bike shop Crow Cyclery. That’s when I got hooked on wheel building. At Munro Wheels we sellp roducts that are serviceable and are used an abused the whole year round and stood the test to last.
